Copyright Transfer
To ensure clarity with my clients, I always establish a copyright transfer agreement for my original creations.
It defines all the possibilities and conditions for the use of the artwork you have purchased from me.
The copyright transfer always specifies:
- The type of rights granted (reproduction, representation, adaptation, distribution, etc.);
- The scope, purpose, location, and duration of the granted rights;
- The calculation method and payment terms for the granted rights.
The cost is a percentage based on the artwork’s pre-tax sale price. It varies depending on the duration of use, the number of copies, and the extent of distribution. These details should be carefully defined according to the needs of your project.
A copyright transfer is flexible at any time. If you wish to extend the usage period, increase the number of copies, or expand the distribution scope, this is entirely possible—just contact me to add an amendment.
Usage Duration:
- 1 year: Included in the base price
- 5 years: +15%
- 10 years: +30%
- 50 years: +50%
Number of Printed Copies:
- up to 5,000 copies: Included in the base price
- 5,001 to 50,000 copies: +40%
- 50,001 to 100,000 copies: +80%
- 100,001 to 500,000 copies: +160%
- Unlimited copies: +320%
Distribution Scope:
- Client’s website and social media – Worldwide: Included in the base price
- Other distribution (excluding the client’s website and social media):
- National: Included in the base price
- European: +40%
- Worldwide: +60%
